In the past 12 months I was able to bring $80M+ worth of contracts into the U.S. that were intended for the Eastern Europe/Asia/India markets.  Now that Ford and GM have come to the conclusion that they need to increase small car sales in the U.S. to survive, I have been very busy with the planning of the re-tooling of the truck/suv plants.

Good to hear someone's out there fighting the "good fight".  Glad to hear that there's progress.

Now hurry up and get those electric cars out!   ;D

Hey Randy,

Nice to see that you and GGG is doing well!  I just checked out your site, impressive selection!!

Yeah, I've been doing the best I can.  GM Hamtramck is scheduled to produce the Volt, and I am right on that as its in my backyard.  IMO, GM is the furthest ahead of the Detroit-3 with the Volt, but we'll see.  There are a few wild cards out there...

Best to you and your family,

Kelsey

Of all the threads in which to "stop by", you chose THIS one ?  Good timing !    :applaud:

As Andy says, this would be the "icing on the cake" ...

All we need now is for Christian to join in.

Actually....  yes.   :)

When I popped in (which only happens every 6 months or so...), the top thread had a post by John and I just replied to it.  As it turned out, it happened to be a thread about spinners with a bit of back-n-forth involved.

No bother to me, I don't have horse in this race anymore.

BTW, nice to meet you TPB, I don't recall seeing you around back a few years ago when I frequented around here, unless you changed handles.  Nice to see there are still a bunch of good guys around.  I *really* should stop by more often, I kinda miss it, just need to find the time....

Hi Oscar,

Likewise, it's nice to meet you.  I'm not a veteran of the hobby, so I wasn't around back in your time.  I've been around just long enough to catch a glimpse of SlikStik in their glory days, before all went South.

Hey, the Oscar Spinner is a real legend, a pioneer of its time.  It's thanks to your innovation, that Ultimarc, GGG, and Apache were inspired to produce the fine products they do today.    :applaud:

Good luck with the Auto business.  I don't know how the US auto business is going, but as far as Ontario and the GTA goes ...

I was in Oakville last year, where they build the Ford Edge ... a nice looking SUV.  But all's not rosy with the industry, there've been a lot of layoffs at the GM plant in Oshawa.  Hopefully things will bounce back soon.    ???

As for myself ?  I'm an Aussie, but we're planning to spend a number of years (may end up being permanent) in the GTA down the track, where we have an investment property.

The Australian auto industry is going OK, the local GM subsidiary (called Holden in Australia) actually exports some vehicles to the U.S., where they're re-badged by GM.  They also export to some of the "western friendly" countries in the Middle East.

Hope to see you around more often.

Cheers,
TPB.

Can we get back to bickering here? This thread is being completely derailed!

 ;D

As a side note - I think we should all mention David Foley in our posts so he can participate more!

Lastly, Cheffo - you need to link each Tommy post to each person...
