Thought I'd come here and find a USB Spinner instantly.. having problems

(1/3) > >>

dgrams2000:
I've had room for a spinner on my Control Panel for a few years, and was just waiting for a nice easy USB connected spinner (like my track ball that I have)
I just thought of looking today, and it seems that many if not all of the links for retail spinners are dead or dont have info on spinners anymore....

Is there something I missed... some kind of 'one spinner to rule them all'?

If I would be really bored I'd try building one, but it turns out I'm not that bored (especially with summer here)
and would go the route of paying for one if I could....

Any leads?  :dunno

Not sure how long it's supposed to be sold out for, but people here seem to think this one is excellent (I have a couple of original arcade spinners otherwise I'd get this one)...

There's also the Ultimarc Spintrak: http://ultimarc.com/SpinTrak.htm
That and the TurboTwist2 seem to be the best reviewed spinners around these days.

There's also the Apache Blackhawk spinner, which has been met with some pretty rave reviews from what I've seen. It offers similar performance to the Tornado (but only 30 seconds of spintime vs. the Tornado's 3 minutes), with the addition of push/pull button functions. As far as I know, it's the only push/pull spinner on the market, so if you're a Discs of Tron fan it's pretty much your only option aside from making your own. The catch though, is that it costs an almost ungodly $130.

I payed $80 for my Slikstik Tornado, and I still swear by it as a top-of-the-line product, so it's a shame they're so hard to get now. However, the currently availible options all offer great functionality too, so it all comes down to how much you're willing to spend and what specific features you find most attractive.

I to am also starting to look for spinners..mainly for playing Heavy Barrel. Do these spinners work the same as joysticks as well??? ie: rotate 360 degress but also as an 8 way? and can they be hooked up to the keywiz with no real problems? And lastly, buttons required...only two?

Also, i like the Ultimarc spinner, saw there was no price...does anyone know what it goes for and shipping to Aus?
