Did anyone ever see an Atari Popeye ?

I think that would be a really nice holy grail for me ! :D

Did they really make them? I've seen the 2600 cart. That's about as close to Atari Popeye as I've ever seen.

Atari was licensed to build them for the UK and Irish market. I've only seen this as proof:

What a lovely cab......... Nintendo and Atari logo on one side art .....:-*

And about home versions: Popeye was released by Parker brothers for the Atari home systems (and others).

I've played (and loved) the Atari 8-bit homecomputer version a lot. An excellent conversion. Just like about any other Nintendo title for the Atari 8-bit machines....

Oooo, other than the marquee, I like that cabinet!

Thanks for sharing.

Maybe the speaker is up there since the cab is so small.

I think it is. If you look close, you appears to have slots cut for one. I'm at work, so I don't have any software to lighten the image with.

I don't like that cab. Looks like they were going to take Gyruss and make it Popeye. I like the Nintendo cab.
