Bulk Microswitch Source?
GAJoe:
I've tried Yenox, Omron, Zippy, and a few other unlabeled switches and I think I prefer the Cherry brand, maybe just out of habit. I did Google for an answer, but most places want a dollar per switch. I looked at Cherry's site, but the matter of finding a distributor seemed daunting. I was considering Happ's version of a discount at .83 cents a piece for 100, but knowing that Happ usually overcharges for everything I figured there might be cheaper sources out there I could find through the community. It just seems like for such a small switch with very little comprising it the price should be something like 50-60 cents a piece.
NOP:
I've got a place here in the twin cities called Ax-Man
http://www.ax-man.com/
and they have a pretty wide range of microswitches available. They don't do mailorder, but I'm planning on going there tomorrow and can take some pics of what they have for you. I know I've picked up a few cherry switches there before, but I don't recall the price.
I'll post back here tomorrow and let you (and everyone else) know. I'd be happy to fill a few orders-the place is located only a couple miles from me.

Thanks for the links. I did actually search eBay before asking, and I considered that first auction for the Matsushita switches. They'd be good for my SNK rotary stick, but as pushbutton switches I don't know if they'd work since they're levered, and they're riveted shut so it's a chore to get the lever out. If the ones in the joystick are any indication, they also require a heavy actuation, which I'd like to avoid.
The second auction seems like a possibility, except I have been burned by ordering things on eBay from out of the country.
The third one has the same problem, as well as shipping being 37 dollars.
EDIT: I also found this auction 10 Omron Switches for $2.99
I'm tempted to buy a couple of boxes just because it's such a good price, even though they're levered and not what I was really looking for.
