Please help Monitor Problems
« on: June 01, 2003, 12:16:37 pm »
Ok so I bought a beautifull working NFL Blitz cabinet on ebay and drove 3 and a half hours to pick it up. It worked fine there and everything then we delicately wrapped it in plastic and secured it in the truck, seemed very secure.

Well when I got home we get it inside and turn it on to play and everything works until a few seconds after the monitor came on it started blinking a couple times then no picture. I smelt something burning and promptly turned it off.

After openning it up I smelt the burning was coming from the back but couldn't find what it was I turned it back on and no more smell but the monitor won't display anything.

The monitor is a k7500 I hope someone can give me some advise on how I could go about fixing it, could something have just come unsoldered perhaps. Any advise would be great and let me know if you need any more information, I'm pretty desperate  ??? and sad  :-[

I suggest you take your monitor to a TV repair shop --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type-- you kill yourself.
You may have to get someone to visit your monitor so it might be a little expensive I guess.

Well its been of for several days and we know how to discharge it. I suppose we'll hunt around on the boards for anything that came unsoldered or looks burnt
