Any 4 player games use 6 buttons???
shardian:
The Dungeons and dragons games are pretty much the only 4p 4button games. If I built a frankenpanel, I would stick with three. The 4th will only serve to confuse players.
Besides, who here has even played or seen a D&D arcade game? It would be good for one playthru at most - just like all the other 4p beat em ups. The only worthwhile 4p games are the sports games.
Kajoq:
Actually the D&D side scrollers are really good. Its not your usual bland hack and slash with the occasional powerup. Theres like 5 different classes each with different spells/weapons/etc. and you get new items and spells as you progress that you can scroll through and use when you want.
Ginsu Victim:
I played one of the D&D beat 'em ups with a friend the other day (he's a huge D&D fan) and we both got bored with the game within a few minutes and turned it off.
Mr Kray:
I played the D&D games heaps when i was younger, at least 2 of the arcades had a D&D game and they were great fun.
Just as Kajoq said there is more to them than the usual punch, kick, jump combo of your usual side scrollers.
Having said that, if you're just building a MAME cabinet without consoles I'd play one of the D&D games first to see if you like it enough to justify the extra buttons.

I'd play through all the 4-player games just to see if you like them enough to justify a 4-player panel. ;)
