visible screws?
Stormrider:
I'm installing my stick in a 16mm MDF panel. I don't know if I should use normal screws and fit the stick from beneath, so the screws are not visible on the top or use that kind of screws that use a nut, which would be visible, but I feel that the installation would be better and stronger. I could put them a little lower thatn the surface of the top, so that I don't notice anything when playing. Is there any othe solution? I don't plan on installing plexiglass or any other material covering the top and which could be used for hiding the screws.
Kajoq:
Were you going to put art on the panel?
You could use Countersunk screws and then just put the art over the screws, which would be flush to the top
(+_+):
You can countersink the screws from the top as suggested by Kajoq except instead of screws use bolts (with a V shaped head) and a nut and lock washer. This way if it loosens you can always tighten from underneath.
Dazz:
How about use Tee Nuts on the top of the control panel and screw in from the bottom?
Stormrider:
I will not use artwork. My panel will be painted. I didn't knew these tee nuts. Anyway, what's the difference? They are visible too... Or are these nuts installed from underneath?
