Pics of my new gameroom area
Wade:
Finally have my new gameroom mostly ready. This was wasted space (basically, the laundryroom, and the washer and dryer are behind me, hope to cover them with a curtain or move them to another area). The room is about 12x24, but a lot of that space is wasted due to things protruding, and of course the laundry stuff behind me. A positive is there are 10" ceilings, but it will be a little shy after I add drop ceiling tiles this summer.
Here's a link to some pictures:

The room was completely unfinished. I sheetrocked the walls, ran electric, walled in the water heater and furnace, painted the floor and installed trim. Wall is a very dark grey color. I love bright colors, but I wanted the games to stand out, not the walls. Had bold colors in the other room and only liked it so-so.
I thought there was going to be a lot more room to space the games comfortably, but it's tighter than I wanted it, and I still have a 720 and DKJR to restore and move in.
My other gameroom is usable again. It had videos around the pool table so neither the videos or the pool table were really comfortable. It is about 24x24 and has a booth, pool table, Daytona 2, Virtua Racing 4-player plus Live monitor, Whirlwind and Whitewater pins. Some pictures of that area are here:

I wanted this new area to be more strict 80's feel. No beer neon or anything. I think the only lights I'm going to add to the new gameroom is a single, large, custom neon on the larger back wall above the games.
Forgot to mention. I might go with gameroom carpet at some point, but it's not in the budget for now. I really like the looks of many of those.
Also, MOST significant thing about this is I started well over a year ago, and just got it to this point. Had a baby girl last April, started working on another degree, and basically my game hobby time has really grinded to a halt. It took a lot of effort at key times to get the room at this point. It may take another year to get the DKJR and 720 restored, as well as the Mario Bros. The BT, CC are pretty decent originals, and the MP, MC, MsPac are restored and cleaned inside and out.

WOW!!! that is awesome... i wish i had the space/money/time for all of that, that is just awesome. i love the booth/table you made, very nice touch.

Pretty cool 8)
I guess it's safe to say that your house is turning into a "game house". The games are taking over one room at a time?
Indeed the booth is pretty impressive. The tiny Simpsons game is cute :P

Severdhed - Thanks! I don't have the time or money for it any more either. This hobby has really been put on the backburner for the past year, and I doubt that will change for a very long time, if ever.
Patrickl - Ha, no the wife wouldn't stand for that. These are a couple rooms in the basement that we never use for anything else. No way she'd allow a game upstairs! To be honest, I'm surprised I ever got this far, she really resisted after the first couple of games. I think they give up after about 10 games. Occasionally letting one go helps, too. ;)
As for the booth, thanks! My dad and I made that. The booth was perfect for that spot. Desperately needed seating, too.
