FedEx no better than UPS
RayB:
Xiaou, how long ago was this? These days with everything being barcoded, scanned and recorded electronically, it must be very difficult to screw up like that. (You'd think they scan each package as it goes on the truck... so how can a package not be on the truck unless human error is involved, unloading a package to the wrong destination... not scanning it when delivering... I don't understand how such screw ups can happen in this day.)
Xiaou2:
It was just this last xmas past. Yup, I cant understand how it can happen either.
But I didnt work in the truck loading position. Only was a package runner. So I do
now know types of things can go wrong in such a place.
I can only assume that a person might scan a bunch of things, then start to load them
in, and accidentally not put one on. Or maybe its the actual barcode reading itself...
where its registering the wrong number, and the loader does not have time to verify.
Also, Its not uncommon to see that either the person who orders has mistyped their
own address in... or that the shipper has mistyped the address. There might even be a
UPS person who mistypes info in the loop as well... but Im not sure really.
They did lose my LCD HDTV, and its 37" and came in a HUGE box!... and I have No idea how
anyone could lose such a thing! I tend to believe that there is a bit of corruption
somewhere in the loop.
