update to Win2000 issues
« on: February 13, 2008, 09:19:45 pm »
So I try to run mame122 on the Win2K machine in my new cabinet.  A black window appears and a gray error box says, "Device \\ .\DISPLAY1 in an unsupported mode"  When I click OK, a new gray box says, "Unable to initialize Direct3D."

Any of you experts know if I can fix it?  Mame32 works alright.

I tried using some video options on MAME.... "-video gdi" runs, but VERY slow.  "-video d3d" does nothing.  "-video ddraw" creates a messy screen of chaos.
