It's dependent on the video card. That's why Ultimarc developed the ArcadeVGA. Or at least I think that's why he developed it. I can't profess to know what he thinks.

That actually happens?

Any PC software (ie: games, application, etc...) can be started via MALA. You just create a new emulator within MALA to have a separate gamelist which lists all of these PC games and applications. You scroll down, select one from the list and it will start. When adding my PC games into MALA, I created a separate BAT file for each game, then had MALA treat each BAT file as a ROM file. MALA would list all of my BAT files in the gamelist and once I selected a BAT filename from the MALA list, then the BAT file would get executed and my PC game would start/
Now, as for jukebox software, you can put my jukebox software in your list if you want and you will be able to scroll to it and start it up from within MALA if you want. I do not think many people start my application this way, but I could be wrong.
I would recommend trying out my jukebox software (remapping the keyboard keys appropriately) to decide if your arcade cabinet controls work well for you.
But, to answer your question ...... yes, my software (and many other software applications) can be started via MALA if you want to do this.
