Haruman, if you buy the controller for a hack, do you buy new off the shelf or try to get cheaper used pads? Just curious what the total price is for hacking a Mad Catz 360 pad that you purchase.

I get used, if available.  For the most part, there aren't usually a whole lot of used controllers at Gamestop (where I would go), but sometimes I get lucky.  Were you referring to the regular Mad Catz pad or the arcade stick version?  (Both can be hacked with a single ground, but the regular pad would be smaller in the end)

Joystick Jerk:
Either would be fine. Are there any benefits or caveats besides price and size between the two?

Nope, both will function exactly the same.  Shoot me a PM and we can talk details if you are interested.

My project is currently on hold right now for maybe a week. I've got a cheapo Hori 360 on order just so I can test it out. I know everyone says you get what you pay for with those sticks, but I'm at least going to check it out. Worst comes to worst I can sell it since they hold their value pretty well.

If I do choose to start on a new home-built stick, I'll definitely be buying one of your pre-hacked pads. Keep an eye out for cheap Mad Catz 360 pads, as I'll get back to you either way.
