Have been calling around for glass quotes...

I'd use tempered.  Just not worth the risk and it only adds like $10-$20 more.

If I don't use tempered glass, then I use plexi.

Really?  Glass shops around me consistently charge 4-5x to temper.  I got a piece for my cocktail cabinet tempered for $100+ (can't remember exactly what I paid) and I was quoted $35 for the exact same piece without the tempering...

Well the price for the same glass, tempered from 'One Day Glass' is only $35.

So far the difference between temptered and non-tempered is on par with what was listed above - $20 - $30.

The cost for the glass has ranged almost 200% from the quotes I've received (500% if you count One Day Glass) so I'm not surprised you'd get different prices.

There is going to be some fudge factor for different size glass, but it also depends on where you go and where you live.  I'm not a glass expert and only know about what I have been quoted and bought.

Two-bits sells the tempered to fit a Pac Cocktail for $89.  The last two pieces I had done locally were $25 and $40.  I only had regular glass quote on the last one and it was ~$20 IIRC.

Well so far the lowest price is One Day Glass at $35 (shipped total $83.55), the highest is $146 and the average is around $85.  So I can get it cheaper, and considerably faster by purchasing from a Washington store, and shipping via FedEx to my house.  That really makes zero logical sense.
