XBOX lightgun

I'm running MAME on my PCI want to play Area 51 with my XBOX lightgun. I own the device which connects the XBOX controller to the PC and I also downloaded and properly installed XBCD driver. Needless to say, my XBOX controller works fine in MAME. But now I want to use my XBOX lightgun. Plugged it in and Windows recognizes it by installing XBCD automatically. But I don't know how to make it so MAME reads my lightgun? Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance.

Wont work, there is no way to pass the scan lines. If you cut the xbox cord you will see a red, green, black, white, and yellow wire. The usb adapter will not support the yellow wire. Get a guncon and an adapter or a lcd topgun.
