Suggestions on MAME Football games?
(1/1)
DeLuSioNal29:
Well, I'm still waiting on a part to finish up my cab so in the meantime, while I wait for it to get here, I wanted to ask everyone what football games they suggest are good in MAME.
I had planned on completing the cab by Superbowl Sunday and I thought it would be cool if we played some football games to fit the theme of the evening. I am currently creating a "Favorites List" for that day.
Any good ones that are "must haves"? A buddy of mine suggested one that he played as a kid but he could not remember the name of it. It had a trackball and he said that you had to "whip it" to kick the ball. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it could be Atari Football or Gridiron Fight, since they both used trackballs.

Pigskin 621AD is always good for some laughs, although it's really better with analog/49-ways. Cyberball is another of my favorites.

I know it's not Atari Football so it has to be Gridiron Fight. Thanks for the info!

Sounds good. I will add these. Too bad Blitz doesn't work in MAME (my comp is too slow). However, I can probably work around it with the PSX emulator since I own the PSX version. That game is tons of fun.
