GGG LED lights mounted on silver shelf paper (fire hazard?)

I got my LED lights to shine using the LEDWiz board but I was unhappy with how I positioned them so they did not cast the light how I would want it.

To rectify this, I was thinking of taking some wood and covering it with some self sticking silver (ie: mirror-like) shelf paper and then mounting my LED lights on the wood in front of the silver shelf paper.   The LED light bulb and little metal wires from the LED will most likel;y touch part of the shelf paper.    I was wondering whether this would be a fire hazard or whether it is ok to mount the LED lights like this.

I am mounting my LED lights with the silver shelf paper background so the light from the LEDs hopefully will shine more light in more directions.

Please let me know whether it is safe to do this .......

just paint the wood white, mirror paper would probably be less reflective than white paint, if its painted then no possible fire hazard either

Santoro:
LEDs give off very little - if any - heat, this should not be an issue.  Just be sure that if the shelf paper is metallic it doesn't short anything out .

If the shelf paper is metallic or conducts in any way, this would likely short out the wires. At the voltages we're talking about, it's not a major fire hazard, but it's not something you want to be doing.

Like someone mentioned, true white paint would likely be a better choice.

Ok, I will go with a painted white background then ..... thanks.
