Namco doing bartops?

I have to wonder who at namco was in charge of design. :dunno
AND who is their target consumer?

In my opinion, the closer to a real reproduction the more nostalgic the item.

Well that's good.  I still think it's funny that they use that picture, you know Brookstone is  trying to make the cabinet look bigger than it is.  It's a little ridiculous too that they are asking almost $3000 for a cabaret version of a machine you can get the original full size of for much less.

TOK:
Ugly little thing, isn't it? My sister got that catalog and went nuts. Her only interest in the cabinets is that they're a weird thing to have in my house. She came over the the Brookstone catalog and showed my wife how much they were going for.

Of course the first plot someone who knows nothing about the business (and that Brookstone will be lucky to find one sucker to buy at that price) cooks up is that we (meaning I) should be building them to sell. Anyone else heard that one? I think that was about the 5th time I've heard it from friends and family.  :P

You sure that's a "he"? Looks kind of androgynous.
