Pinball Controls

Guys

I am hoping to incorporate some controls for pinball into my current project.  I initially thought I just needed a left & right flipper button on the sides of the cab.

Will that do it or do I need a few more?

Thanks
Stace  :)

Depends on how "authentic" you want it.

Not only is there left and right..and a plunger button(or actual plunger if you are crazy about it), but there should be a second set for left nudge and right nudge(and possibly doubling as a second set of independent flippers, but most work at the same time I think).    Then if you are like me, I actually made what some people would either call ugly or overcall, another front button to have front nudge.   I put the button exactly where the right pluger is on the left side to make it all even.  But to be honest, if I had the right kind of control panel I would have put it dead center to actually nudge it with my big fat belly.

I suggest Pinball Pro series cause they are simply the BEST.   That and the fact that with the XP patch all 4 games work with Vista in high resolution(if your card can handle it).  The Big Race, The Web, Time Shock, and Fantastic Journey...breathtaking graphics!

Thanks, got any pics?

So could I get away with left/right flipper, left/right nudge and a plunger button?

I use Visual Pinball and 7 buttons:

Left/Right Flipper
Left/Right Nudge
Center nudge (doubles as a pause button for MAME)
Plunger
Start key ("S" -- some Visual Pinball tables require this
to start vs a "1")

I guess technically I use 9 keys, the 8th and 9th ones
being reuses of Coin1 and Player1 buttons from MAME.

In truth, I've never had to really use center nudge when
playing a game, but I wanted to have all-options.

I'm not really a pinball player, but would like the option and may even get stuck in.

Do you think its worth incorporating?  :dizzy:
