which better: wg k4900 or wg k7000?

I've got two monitors, a 4900 and a 7000. Both work about the same. I want to sell one, and keep the other for a MAME cabinet.

Which is better / more reliable?
As far as getting flybacks, etc...which has the greater availability of parts?

K7000.  4900 flybacks haven't been available for quite some time.  And K7000 are easy to work on.

The k7000 is the superior of the two plus it has lots of parts availability.

Thanks guys. As always, this place is THE source of all knowledge.

One more question:  both tubes are 19" ers... but the tube on the 4900 has a less burn-in. Are the tubes swappable?

The k7000 series was made with two different neck diameters, yokes, and neckboards.

You'll find some that had 22.5mm diameter (8 pin) and some with 29mm (10 pin) necks. The 4900 uses 29mm (10 pin) necks and the yoke is "high" impedance.

The 7000's that had the 29mm (10 pin) necks had a "low" impedance yoke.
