They did not say. They just said that they charged back the account
that originally was used to make the transaction.
Sorry, no more info than that. However, he's planning to order through arcadesrfun. (I've never even heard of them before today!).
Mike: That's awesome. I hope everyone else can scrape and claw their money back into their pockets, where it belongs!!!

I am personally glad I ran across this thread, I almost made some orders a bit ago that would have had me "blue faced mad"
Maybe someone should make a thread like this, except in positive, for the companies out there who actually do their job: for instance
I ordered about 140 bucks worth of stuff off of Andi (ultimarc in cases where people dont know) on sunday. i got the order (across the "pond") yesterday (Tuesday), a full 2 hours before I even got my DHL tracking number. Yes! thats right! I got the shipment before the tracking number could be sent out! Other than a few minor issues (ie not getting the ultimarc CD with the order, and one of the happ buttons being a bit sticky), everything went better than I had hoped (maybe because a certain "company" out there had eroded my faith in this kind of community a bit).
Maybe this "company" should take some heed from Andi, just for the sake of doing bussiness, as well as not giving the DIY arcade people some pause about the whole concept....
Also, a related note, since I didnt get the CD with my order (which I presume has some docs on it) can anyone tell me where I am supposed to connect the ground "daisy chain" wire? Am I supposed to connect it to ground on the minipac, or to the ground on the cabinet? I Emailed Andi about this, but I would really like to get started and I know he is british.. erm I mean busy; so he may not be able to email me back as quick as I would like (IE I am twitching while looking at my minipac like some crack addict that doesnt have a lighter!!! :o )

I've heard good things about Jack at Arcades R Fun. I'm sure your friend will end up with a nice panel that he's very happy with. :applaud:
--- Quote from: Mike Ahearn on January 15, 2008, 06:26:09 pm ---I have a similar twist of good fortune. As you all might recall, my purchase was on March 13, 2007, and my credit card was charged the next day. The last contact I had with SS was on October 2, 2007. After countless unreturned phone messages and unresponded to emails, I contacted my local bank which issued my credit card (INTRUST). I instituted charge back procedures on November 11, 2007. After I provided my bank with written documentation of the dispute, SS was given 45 days to respond to my claim and I was give a "provisional" credit. Of course, SS failed to respond within the 45 day window. I just received final word from my bank that my credit is now permanent and the matter is resolved. Thank you Intrust Bank!! I will be ordering a panel from Jack at www.arcadesrfun.com.

Onya Mike !! :applaud:
After having been screwed around for almost a year by SlikStik (thankfully, as of today, with a happy ending, now that you've got your money back), you'll also enjoy your new panel, from Jack at Arcades R Fun.
