Guys, if Christian knocks me into next week, I promise to bring back the one control panel he'll have finished by then for those of you still waiting.

FrizzleFried:
Scott,

I think we can safely say that any additional input you may have is going to be anti-productive to your cause.  You want this to quiet down,  certainly getting in to a flame war with some of the folks here isn't going to accomplish your goals,  but,  in fact,  will only serve to keep this topic on the front page.

I am sorry,  but I tend to fall toward the "Fozzy" point of view on this mess.  I do appreciate your efforts to get folks their control panels,  but the answer is not for everyone to stick their heads in the sand and pretend that "Chris" or SS have integrity.

As one of those who have no vested interest in this situation other than the satisfaction of preventing as many people from being scammed for their dough as possible,  I am ever-so-slightly insulted by your "if you don't have a vested interest,  butt out" point of view.  Every person who we prevent from being scammed by SS or "Chris" by keeping this information on the "front page",  even by us folks without a vested interest,  speaks volumes as to the service we are providing keeping this information out there.

I'd like nothing more than to see every last SS customer get their control panels,  but the fact of the matter is that if we can prevent one NEW person from wasting their hard earned dollars by presenting this information,  then it's worth it...even at the expense of those who've already been screwed (which sucks I know, but it is what it is).

It's not like "Chris" was a helluva guy before this mess.  He and his company have a reputation here... and THEY were the ones to build that reputation.

You've said your peace...if you TRULY are interested in folks getting their panels,  I'd reconsider continuing in this thread because every time you do,  you're only inviting folks to reply,  which,  in turn,  causes more conversation,  which,  in turn,  causes more publicity,  which,  in turn,  may cause "Chris" to flip his lid and stop sending out panels (from his own pocket).

Finally,  it was low-brow to even suggest people are PMing you calling folks in this thread "idiots".   What purpose did it serve?  I know it sorta pissed me off,  even though,  frankly,  I'm of the opinion that it's BS (an attempt to strengthen your argument perhaps?).  If you are going to stoop so low as to call people in this thread whom you don't agree with "idiots",  at least have the decency to do it directly and not via the suggestion that many people have PMed you stating that...

NOTICE:  If you are one of the folks who PMed Scott calling anyone here an "idiot",  please PM me stating so...I will happily keep your name anonymous and will retract the entire paragraph above with a public apology to Scott...

PS:  Yes,  I know I am an idiot...no need to pile on if you didn't PM Scott stating the fact!

Seems like past, present, and possibly future customers are asking you (possibly not in the words you want hear, not sure) to take a step back from a pretty volatile situation. Rather than becoming the outlet to alot of frustration, appreciate that people respect you enough to try and protect and/or save your reputation. Whatever your personal beliefs, they have to be shelved for the good of your company. Unfortunately, no one will seperate you from it, price of success I guess ? :)

/2 cents.

Agreed. Everyone in this community, active, lurker, guest who just heard about MAME and wants one, and their acquaintances, co-workers, friends, family, etc is a potential customer and of like mind. My belief anyway is that a business should always treat it's customers, past present and future, with utmost respect. I'm not feeling a lot of respect in that post above.

--- Quote from: Mameroom on January 08, 2008, 07:44:58 pm ---As for why someone should order from Mameroom even if they come from Christian...In the event that the panels we offer are not available from the original manufacturer, Mameroom will manufacture them ourselves, thus the ability to "guarantee" to get a panel out.  If not from him, from us.

Hmmm ... let me see about what legal weight that guarantee carries ...

SlikStik LLC.

Mameroom Designs LLC.

Do we have a pattern here ??

Scott, I am not questioning the "moral weight" of your guarantee.  I accept you're a person of unquestioned integrity and good standing ... although your strident defence of Christian is not doing your reputation any favours.

However, from a legal standpoint, with your LLC business structure, your guarantee holds no more weight that SlikStik's.

--- End quote ---

How come you expect us to accept that Mameroom Designs = Scott Glazer, and yet SlikStik <> Christian Stango ??

They're both LLC's, right ??

All that stuff you've written about Christian having "nothing to do" with the ownership or liabilities of SlikStik, being a "mere employee".

You can't have it both ways.

Either you BOTH accept personal responsibility for your respective companies, or you're BOTH "mere employees".

It's inconsistent to tell us that Mameroom Designs = Scott Glazer, yet SlikStik <> Christian Stango.
