Slik Stik - Any Word

Oh, and by the way.  <knock, knock>  Yeah you, Mr. Christian.  I straight-up asked you on the phone if I should just get a refund, and you said in the most reassuring, "I love you, man!"  voice that, "Man, any order anyone places with me will be made good if I have to do it out of my own pocket".  Well, I trusted you and allowed you to string me along.  As a result, I got word from my credit card company today that I've waited too long--there's nothing they can do.

Okay--put your money where your mouth is.  First of all, PM me.  We'll set up a time to talk, review my order, and one month from that date have my controller at my doorstep.  If you do that, I'll shut up.  No... I'll do better than that.  I'll paste a positive comment on here about you.  I'm serious.

Mameroom/Scott--

One thing I wanted to add.  I have e-mailed you a few times and you've gotten right back to me.  I appreciate your willingness to help, so I want to be straight-up with you.  I seriously considered ordering from you since you have the quad panel.  However, looking at your website and seeing the "color designer" and panels that were on the Slikstik site really, really makes me think twice about ordering from you.  You're association with them seems to be entirely too close.  If I were in your shoes I would be careful about being associated with them in any way.  It could have a significant impact on your business.

Mameroom:
The images of the formal SlikStik panels did in fact come from the SlikStik website..as well as the color designers...which, we haven't had a chance to remove the name from.  If people order "anything" from Mameroom, they can rest assured that customer satisfaction is guaranteed.  If they are "leary" based on previous events with SlikStik...that is certainly understandable and unfortunately, there's not much we can do about that...except put our companies reputation behind everything that we sell.

Tiger-Heli:
No offense to Scott or Mameroom, but the whole explanation doesn't wash with me.

If I am running my own company, I would set it up as a LLC with myself as CEO and head employee with a generous salary.  That way the company doesn't show huge profits (could even show a loss for tax purposes) and all the money I take in is protected from legal settlements.  It also frees me up to be "fired" from the LLC and use my earnings to start a new company.

I have no first-hand knowledge of what Christian is actually involved with, but if you follow some of the David.R.Foley threads, you see a pattern here.

(And I am only stating opinions, not factual statements, if this goes to legal proceedings.)

Happy Holidays to everyone!  I'm going to be somewhat on leave for the next week due to Holiday traveling.  Just a few updates before I go.

I have spoken with Ann Marie a few times, and she is being utterly smothered in e-mails.  She has asked that I pass along to everyone that you send *one* e-mail with your contact information (address, phone number), a copy of your order along with a short history of your complaint.  Sometime after the new year a mailing list is going to be set up, and everyone will receive weekly or or monthly updates.  Once this mailing list begins, I'll be sure the information is posted here.  *IF* you don't get a copy of the mailing list, we'll check to make sure your complaint was filed and your contact info was entered correctly.

I appreciate the response and involvement everyone has shown, and I have faith that it will work itself out in the best possible way.  Hopefully we'll all end up with something at the end of the day to put a smile on our face, whether it be a product, refund or the guilty punished for what has transpired.   Additionally, if anyone truly is innocent that appears to be guilty, I hope it will exonerate them.

Despite this mess that we all seem to be in, take a few minutes to stop, look around and be thankful for the things that we do have.  Spend some time with family and close friends, and absolutely, positively play a few classic arcade games!

Hi Guys, Scott from MameMarquees.com

I wanted to let people know that Christian did recently settle up the bill with my company and he ordered several overlays last week which were shipped out.   I really don't know much more then that, but it would seem things are going in the right direction.
