Translucent Buttons Q?
stace:
Guys,
Lame question so I apologise.....I did a search but couldn't find an answer.
I want to use some of the pushbutton graphic inserts on some translucent buttons.
Can I buy buttons that are preinstalled with the leds? That will 'plug into/get power from' a pc power supply?? I don't want anything fancy, I just want the buttons to light when the cab is powered up.
I want to use them for Enter, Escape & Pause.
Many Thanks in Advance

Thanks, I originally looked at that (as I'm sorting out an order for other stuff with GGG) but was confused by the description stating......
NovaGem™ Lightable Horizontal Pushbutton plugs straight into the LED-Wiz ? Also are they actually translucent? Will they accept the graphic inserts? I don't want to use an LED-Wiz (I assume just for standard light, I dont need to)
It also mentions ........ 'Be sure that the power requirements for the device are met properly, otherwise damage may occur to the components the power is being drawn from. GroovyGameGear / IDVT Inc. will assume no responsibility for damages caused by improper use' I guess I'm just paranoid about that it !!

The NovaGems will do what you want. The PGI's were pretty much designed for use with those buttons. The warning about the power is so folks understand that they need to make sure that the power source used for them is capable of supplying the correct voltage and current. A 5v line from your PC power supply will be fine, but you wouldn't want to try to run a string of them from only the USB 5v source.

Thanks Randy,
I'll get my order sorted tonight. Sounds like I need to connect them upto a molex connector?
