question about Klipsch 2.1 system
GAtekwriter:
In all the images I've seen of the Klipsch 2.1 system, it shows the volume control as part of one of the small speakers. Is it detachaable or have they changed the product since the book came out and embedded the volume control into one of the speakers?
Thanks,
Jim

One more: I've also seen this set going for $49.00 plus $25.00 shipping on eBay and similar sites... fair price?

That doesn't seem right, they're $200 speakers ...
The volume control detaches. As per the book, the bottom of the speaker unscrews and the volume control comes off.

Those speakers are AWESOME. Best 2.1 computer speakers I've EVER heard, no doubt about it. If you can get 'em for 50-75$, go for it. I see them on Craigslist from time to time under $100.

I have these Klipsch GMX A-2.1 and they kind of suck. The volume has no low threshold, they are either off or pretty damn loud. The headphone amp is useless - hardly any volume when you plug in headphones and crank it all the way up. And the worst thing - whenever I get a call on my cellphone the speakers emit some crazy obnoxious buzzing noise...
The older ones might be better, although a buddy ordered a pair of refurbished speakers direct from Klipsch and they were dead on arrival...
