Arcades with hard drives...?

Jetto Funk:
Last question, sorta strolling off subject but anyways.
I seen a Naomi board on ebay of MVC2, one of my all time fav games, would this work on that cab?

CheffoJeffo:
While NAOMI is not natively JAMMA, there are a couple of adapters out there and that auction appears to include what looks like a Capcom converter (the silver box).

I don't have one (my NAOMI cab has a Sega converter), so I'm not 100% ... perhaps someone with more NAOMI expertise ...Goz ?

Or you could ask the seller.

Malenko:
Id get clarification from the seller asking if they will include the JAMMA adapter. If it does come included then it should work but Im sure minor rewiring will need to be done.  Actually if memory serves me right, mace used 4 buttons kinda spread out and MvC2 use 2 rows of 2 (2/3rds of a SF layout) so you might have some control panel patching to do, or simply adjust to the layout. I dont know if your MACE cab is dedicated or anything, I know trying to play Street Fighter II on my MKII cab was hilarious

Spaz Monkey:
I have MVC2, and I have some arcade knowledge so I will try to answer your questions.

 1) I don't think your MACE cab would work because you only have 5 buttons while MVC2 needs 6.  Now before anyone jumps on my case, I'm assuming that you have not made any modifications to your cab.

 2) If you have the layout as the typical SF layout, it still won't work because you need a kick harness to handle the kick buttons on a typical SF layout.  You'll need a Capcom harness to plug into the silver box.

 3) If you have the layout, and the kick harness, you can unplug your Jamma harness off the MACE board and connect it (as well as your kick harness) to the silver box shown in the auction.

My $.02

Jetto Funk:
I think I'll just save my pennies and buy a dedicated MVC2 one day :)
Thanks for the input everyone!
