I recently posted on the need for a marquee that would be "temporary" before I can get a professional one printed such as one from mamemarquees.com....which they must be extremely busy since I have not heard back from them in about a week. Also no luck from EMDKAY either. In the meantime I was in desperate need for a marquee before I the  unveiling of my first MAME project this Saturday. I really did not want to display my cabinet with just a light and piece of plexiglass. I was looking for something to tie in by cabinet, button, t-molding colors of orange, black, white and blue. I did not want the traditional "MAME" or it's variants in the name since the average person don't know what that is. The most logical choice was to fire up photoshop and see if I can come up with something that works. This is what I got....any comments would be appreciated !! Thanks.

NOTE: My name is Ken....thus the name.  :P

If its just temporary, that looks good to me. However, getting a temporary marquee printed at kinkos would be a waste of money. you are looking at around $20 for that. For temporary, just use photo paper in your inkjet and stitch it together.

Defineately Shardain, that was my plans.....to use photopaper and not waste the $ getting it printed. In the near future I am wanting something printed from mamemarquees.com and I am open to suggestions. I will post a photo of my "semi-completed" cabinet before the end of the weekend so to get a feel for the color scheme.

I think you should add some depth to the text. Perhaps with a shadow/texture/something.

Thanks for the pointer leapinview.....initial try below of adding some "Shodow box" effects.

UPDATED: changed to "inner shadow"
