<News> - Removal of adult mame games

But... will it work the other way around, I find that the best game play and most intriguing stories are in the adult games.  I want to build a dedicated adult quiz/nude puzzle cabinet with none of that classic arcade or '90's fighter crap on it, only quality adult arcade games. :laugh2:

Seriously though, I used MCM for some ROM management a while back and was very pleased with the results, it also allows you to remove titles based on their controls and/or type of game if I remember correctly.  I think I used it to ditch all the mahjong and trivia/quiz games too.

The downside is that now I have about 1.5 times the total disk space taken up since there are times when it is good to have the ROMs exactly as you got them, it can make maintaining your collection much easier and faster.

Yes to heck with preserving everything, let's just preserve those titles we all find morally acceptable.  While we're at it, why don't we just buy up all the old pcb's start a fire and burn em!  Oh wait, I just described Nazi Germany (or the American Mid-West on any given tuesday).

While I can certainly understand the need to filter/remove adult roms from one's collection, it's silly to complain about them.  They take up next to no hd space (all are tiny compared to the average rom from that era), and what the devs learn implementing them is often used to fix regular games and systems.  Also I'm sure the mame devs would make the argument that you shouldn't have downloaded the roms in the first place unless you own them and therefore no filtering should be needed.  I'm not making that argument myself, but I'm just saying. :)
