iPAC4 config file for kids???
Taborious:
Don' t know if anyone may already have a config file for an ipac4 but I am using the origianl config that came with the unit and it works fine however, there are a couple of key combo's that aren't good for kids who press buttons alot. With the basic config pressing player 1 & 2 start buttons at the same time exits the game.
Has anyone played with a custom config file that works better for kids, that you can post of course...

I don't have an I-PAC/4 - but the best suggestion I have seen for it was to have a dedicated Pause button and have that activate any of your Shift functions such as Exit, Tab, etc.

That's how I have mine set up.
Press and Release makes the cab Pause.
Press and Hold allows the other buttons to do shifted functions.
I think the best idea for a kid cab is a toggle switch inside the coin area, or on top of the machine, that allows the shift function to be turned off.
There aren't any shifted functions they need access to, and the risk of them messing up the software is too high.
You can set up a dedicated exit button to allow them to drop back to the front end.

How would you turn the shift function on and off with a toggle switch - unless you did not use two of the dedicated inputs and had a button inside the coin door to only activate the shift input, but then you are losing one or two inputs (not a big deal on the I-PAC/4, but potentially one on the I-PAC/2.)
EDIT: Not really - 26 inputs are really plenty, but . . .

Pardon my ignorance, but how do I configure a pause button to activate the shift function or better question how do I unactivate the shift function as a normal function and only work when paused?
