Yeah Ok I know Im a goose...lol...Got my first jamma game Birdie try....and a jamma adapter for my konami cab...put the PCB the wrong way around in the jamma didnt I....lol...so dead PCB now I guess.....saw a little smoke and it still works but sound is gone and looks like there is no green.......any tips???Or just bin it???CHEERS
Fozzy The Bear:
Bin It.... You fried something on the board... It'd cost more to get repaired than to buy a new board.
Best Regards,

SirPeale:
Maybe, maybe not. Likely you killed the sound amp chip and the video output chip. Look on Digikey and see how much they cost.

JAMMA HARNESSES SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE KEY!!
We should make this a new rule when talking to noobs, right up there with the "monitors can kill you!" warnings.
(By jamma key, I refer to the one position in the connector that is supposed to have this little filled in space. It prevents people from connecting it backwards even if they try)

Neither one of my harnesses have the key, but they do have an arrow that denotes the board side. I'd like to use my spare with the key, but my Jamma connector is fused with my cabinet in a way which I haven't looked into much. IE the Jamma doesnt go straight to buttons, it plugs into the cabinet at several points and then the cabinet has separate button wiring from there.
