What FE has fastest navigation?
youki:
AtomicFE supports trackball too.

Something that annoys me a little with GameEx personally. The list is a bit slow to scroll through even with using the page down "shift". I originally had my spinner hooked up to the Z-axis but its still no different than moving with a joystick UP and Down. Would be nice if it had either an analogue mode for spinners or a quick search popup so that if you held down the direction it would come up with the starting letter after a short time. Anyone who has used a Sony HD5 MP3 player would know what I mean here...hard to explain in words.

Really ???
There are options to make it the speed you want, Plus you can set up you stick to skip page of events etc
have a play and ask if you are having troubles

This sounds like it might work for me. Since I have about 60 games on the vert machine, I've always just used the default with the stick where it scrolls slow, then faster if you hold. Still not fast enough to jump through a couple thousand ROMs.
Is there an option where you can do something like make the player two stick jump down by letter of the alphabet? Any type of thing similar to that?

Thanks Youki. All of the front ends are so good now that it's very difficult to decide what features matter the most! I'll have a look at Atomic.

Yes, have a look on the controller tab in the options dialog. Letter up and down.
Follow the link to get a full explanation on how to setup your controllers.

If you use the MaLa 'shift' key you can do the following with one stick for example:
stick up and down: 1 game up and down
'shift' + stick up and down: x games up and down (x is definable or can be one page depending on the layout. check the tab controller -> options)
stick left and right: 1 letter up and down
The default MaLa 'shift' key is Player 1 Button 1 (Left Ctrl).
There is also an options on the tab controller -> mouse which enables the 'shift' key with a mouse or trackball to jump x games in the list. This should speed up the scrolling.
