FYI, the people who run that site never got back to me, so I'd say they are long gone.

Ya, I tried to get ahold of them about 6 months ago. No dice. :dunno

Thanks for all the replies. I checked out MikesArcade and indeed that was the button I had seen months ago. Here is the link again:

In a fit of excitement I ordered the pushbutton for my volume control (I'm going to map the double pushbutton to control windows volume using a free program called volume tray). Unfortunately I didn't notice that the top of the button is HUGE! Yes it fits a 1 1/8 hole, but it looks stupidly large next to regular happ buttons. :(
The good news is Volume Tray works great with mame. Check out the link below if your looking for a volume control solution w/o using a pot. You can map any 2 pushbuttons for vol+ and vol- on you mame!

Hmmm.... does that Volume Tray app work using shifted inputs?
I'd like to set up something like this:
joytick up + button1 = volume up
joytick down + button1 = volume down

It should do, all it does is use hotkeys you can assign, so it should work okay with the shift function of IPAC.
