Dude! Great idea. I bet the guys who run www.roguesynapse.com would be up for something like that. ;D

I rotoscoped the ship out of the scene from the movie, and matchmoved the stars using a filter. The logo was created in Illustrator, and the intreface was laid out in Photoshop.
Now I just have to find a codec that will look decent on the PC. Unfortunately I just burned out the soundcard on my PC, while reinstalling thermal paste. So I get errors when MALA starts up with an AVI. Of course I don't know PCs very well, so that could have nothing to do with it. I made AVI and WMV versions of this clip. I hope one of them will work or I wasted a lot of time.

Check out the TechSmith codec. You can design at any resolution in AVI and get a file about a third of what it was. I needed to make several AVIs for my AtomicFE Layout and ran into res issues. I would have liked to use a DV type codec but you are locked to DV sizes. I then rendered uncompressed for a while. HedKaze (sp?) pointed out a tab I had actually never used in the 5 or so years of using premiere. There is a custom tab when you are starting a new premiere project. I made my file size there and chose the Techsmith codec. (You have to download it from Techsmith of course). I hate roto work. Fortunately, a ship is not the killer that rotoscoping hair is, but my hat is still off to you for doing it that way. How long did it take? Ghaw, I love AE. It is starting to rival my love for photoshop (which has been my favorite program in the world (and Canada) for close to 10 years)(aside from MAME of course-wink-wink-).

What's awesome is your game. I assume you're behind that because of your avatar. Is that you?

Well, that and that his name is Doc.
--- Quote ---It would be pretty cool if someone built a cabinet exactly like in the movie. Then all you would need would be someone to make a game just like the one they played in the movie.

Yeah, I don't think anyone else has picked up this - that the colors and the shape of the Xurian ships are off. Not a complaint. It's a cool game and great effort, but it isn't quite accurate.
