Defense creates turnovers. Pressure and physicality create turnovers. Few turnovers ever "just happen". They are forced by the defense in one way or another.
Crap on Grossman all you want but you can't change the fact that he is 15-3 as a starter this year.
FIFTEEN and THREE.

Quite a few turnovers happen don't happen on purpose. I would almost wager it's 50/50. When a defender is going for a tackle, and gets a helmet on ball, which knocks it loose, it has to involve a bit of luck. Much of the time, the defender is just trying to get a hand/arm/head in on the ball carrier, happens to hit the ball, and it pops loose, generally because the carrier isn't doing his job of protecting the ball.
Grossman's not good enough for my crap. :) And you got that backwards. The Bears are 15-3 despite having Grossman as a starter.

Unfair comparison. Dilfer didn't make a fraction of the mistakes Grossman does.
Will I hate the world should he win one? No. But there're plenty of more deserving teams and quarterbacks than him and the Bears. Manning and the Colts is one of them. Here's to hoping for an Indy win (or in my case, a Chicago loss-the opponent was irrelevant to me.) :notworthy:

My man Jerry Azumah, him and my kid have the same dentist and we bump into him every now and then at the office.

DK, aren't you in Minnesota? Doesn't Azumah live in Chicago? Heck of a commute for a dentist. ;D

Bill,
My son Jeremy was born with a cleft lip and pallet. We are in Chicago 2 times per year to see specialists, docs, dentists, you name it. 100% True story that my son shares dentists with Azumah. BTW- He seems like a really great guy! Who wouldn't be with his stature though. Heh, and too when I first met him which was like his 2nd year wit Da Bears which was also during the Moss/Culpepper days, I just told him we will sick Moss all up on his ass...Yea lets just say he straightened out with us like, RIGHT NOW!
:laugh2:
But seriously if I remember right that dude could actually hang with Moss. Whether or not he would stop the him eehhhh...Thats another story. I miss football. I might just have to watch the Superbowl this year. Yea, I think I will! I mean heck I watched that OS game chomp chomp...ooooh. sshh. My buddy mccoy is coming.

13 years of playing experience as a defender say that is mistaken. There is not nearly as much luck as you seem to think. Every tackler's top thought is to get a facemask on the ball. Second thought is to get a hand on the ball and rip or knock it out. Third is to wrap the player up and bring them down. That is tackling technique and if you look at turnover stats you'll see that most turnovers aren't pop fumbles in a crowd, they're tipped or stripped.
Kaytrim:
Thank you Chad for clarifying that. This vindicates the coaching staff of Da Bears. They are doing the right things in their drills and philosophy. This is why Da Bears are leaders in take aways and have one of the best defenses in the NFL. :notworthy:
