Yet another AtomicFE Question...
Havok:
Come on, you've got to give me something harder!
;D
To skip the plug and play selector screen:
1. Run PlugnplayManager.exe
* Select Arcades Simple
* Click the Disable button
* Click Exit
2. Run AtomicManager.exe
* Click the Load Config button
* Browse to C:\AtomicFE_v018\plugnplay\arcades_simple\arcades.cfg. (assuming you went with a default install)
* Click Open
* Click the Setup as Start Config
* Click OK
* Click the Save button, then Save. Click OK to confirm
* Click Close, then OK
That should do it! The next time you run Atomic, it should default to the ArcadeSimple layout, without having to select it first.
If you ever change your mind, and want to add additional emulators, then to switch back is simple: just open the plug and play manager program, and enable the arcades simple module.

I know you can set it up to go directly into a game (random game or specific) But even when you set this up (Atomic manager - arcades config) I believe you still have to go through the PNP page. Try it.

Sorry MYX - I must have missed your original post! To be honest, I just figured this out - I never tried it before...
(One of the perks of being an IT guy for a living!)

Catastrophic:
Your solution worked like a charm Havok! However, it nuked my game list and I got the dreaded "No Roms Found" when it restarted. After looking around, I discovered that in AtomicManager.exe under Advanced>Game List, the "Use Predefined Game List" box was checked. I unticked that and restarted, AtomicFE recompiled the list, and all the Roms are back in their arcadey glory.
Since you are AtomicFE's documentation guy, I would suggest including the answers to both my questions in your next iteration. I bet there are quite a few people looking at Atomic as the front end for kids' cabs because of it's ease of use and pretty picture layouts. But they will certainly need to eliminate the ESC button possibility and might want to launch straight into the arcade module (or any other module) just like I did.
Thanks for all your help, I think this build is just about complete! :cheers:
Havok:
Glad to see all is working. Great idea about including your questions - I'll throw them in the Troubleshooting section on the next update, which is coming soon...

Hum..that's strange, the method havok described should work without having to untick something.
Did you modifify the Arcade Simple.cfg except that before doing the trick?
I will check that.
