Coin input...how to get it to work.
AE35:
Hey all.
I need help getting this coin input to work.
http://www.4000p.dk/images/coininput.jpg
I have no idea what wires should go to what. It seems the green wire
go to noth the coin input and the lamp, so maybe green is power for
the input as well, or maybe there is another power wire.
The colors are
Orange
Green
White
Brown
Black
The coininput says PHG C230/5 coin validator, but I can't find any
information on the net.
Any advice? I would really like to get it to work:)
Thanks,
Nicholas
(normally my arms aren't that hairy)

well the u.k version of what you have is called a sentinel coin mech(coin controls early 90's) and the credit board is a coin controls coin calculator mark 2 ,try looking for these
AE35:
Thanks! That's one step further!!
However, I can't find anything regarding the leads...
Maybe I should just try something? Besides, it may be set for the older
coins if it's from the early 90ies, but may have been re-set at a later time:)
Thanks again,
Nicholas
grantspain:
its quite possible the mech has been reprogrammed at a later date, are you u.k or states?
money controls would have the information you require if you email them
you could use any credit board on that mech(as long as its set to parrellel) such as vts, excel or klingon
its quite easy to deduce which wires do what,i am pretty sure the orange is +12,green is common, white is credit line, brown is coin counter, can't remember if the black is another common
get your meter out and trace the wires,if i am correct the orange will link to the +12 jamma pin, white to coin 1 jamma pin, brown to one side of the coin counter(the other wire on the coin counter will be +12 or +6),the black and green to the common/ground of the jamma
check all this first and report what you find
AE35:
Cool! Thank you very much!
I'll get on it as soon as possible.
By the way I'm Danish.
