Help using GameX
« on: December 13, 2006, 12:12:55 pm »
Hi, I just downloaded GameX to use with my MAME32, and I configured it an all, but when I go to search for mame games, it says games not found? Why is this? I put the correct path to the rom folder.

Maybe you should use MAME instead MAME32.

With a frontend theres no commands to know. Point it to Mame and off you go. It's virtually idiot proof in GameEx  ;D

Hmmm using the command-line version, using the commands are pie. :) You just need to learn a little.

Mame and Mame32 both work exactly the same in GameEx and both use command line options. The only difference is Mame32 has a built in UI which is not needed in a cab anyway.

The command line options are the same for both, so all you need to do is change the exe in "Basic Mame Configuration".
