To Swap Monitors or NOT?

Last year I put in a 25" Wells 25k7193 monitor (cap kit etc) and have a Version 1 Arcade VGA card.  It has been tweeked and finally looks and plays GREAT!  No real complaints.

I just acquired a 25" Wells U5000 monitor which also has been fully refurbished... and it appears to look even BETTER than my current one.    (I have a Version 2 Aracde VGA on order)

Question is... should I use it?  I've heard the U5000 isn't desired... but it has to be better than the older k7100, right?  I mean this unit has all the controls and no iso transformer.  Much more modern. 

I know, dont fix what's not broken...  but it's really tempting!   Anyone with knowledge on both monitors please chime in.

The U-5000 is very trouble-prone and expensive to repair. There were so many problems that Wells-Gardner had to issue repair/modification kits to get them to work properly. This model was so much trouble that Wells quickly discontinued it and replaced it with the reliable k7500 model.

If the monitor was "refurbished" you should ask the seller if all three of the modification kits ("service kits") were installed. The kits are:

power supply kit

vertical sweep kit

horizontal output kit

Right... I've read about those 3 fixes. 

I'm a EE, so I'm sure I can perform these fixes (if they aren't done already)...

1) Are these updates relatively easy to spot?
2) If they were NOT done, and the monitor is working, should I wait if it (ever) has a problem to do the fixes? 
3) Will waiting for the monitor to fail or have problems be detrimental to the other electronics without doing these updates?

Eventually, all of the older Wells monitors go out of production.  Do you think that current one is actually better than the U5000?  I know you have had a history with those
