Arcade VGA Hacked Cable Help???
CheffoJeffo:
My recommendation is to use a multimeter on continuity and map the "wire ends" back to the "connector pins" in order to properly determine "which wire is which".
Trying to line up individual wires based on position in a twisting tube is problematic at best.
Cheers.

I guess it really wouldn't be very accurate trying to line the wires up and take a guess at it.

That website explains a way to test the wires, but it didn't make much sense to me. I didn't quite understand how they tested the wires.
CheffoJeffo:
They just built their own continuity tester ... if you touch a pin and a "wire" with the ends of the tester ad the lightbulb lights up, then the ciruit is closed and you know that the "wire" end matches the "pin" end.
Cheers

So this would basically do the same thing that a multimeter would do, just the homemade ghetto way?? :applaud:
