I've heard people are already selling their PREORDERS for ps3 on ebay and making a killing. Crazy.

The day after thanksgiving is black friday, which is the biggest shopping day of the year in America (everyones shopping for christmas presents).  Stores then started having huge sales on black friday, often with a few deals so great that people wait sometimes camp out over night to get it.

We go grocery shopping in WM.  Checked their line, and asked around of the workers/service desk.  No one seemed to know how it was going down that night.  I kept getting conflicting stories.  According to ps3seeker.com, they were only getting 4-14 units (down from 10-25 as once believed yesterday.)

I wanted to hit that profit margin.  I would've easily stood outside in that cold, rainy mist for 6 hours.  (Line was apparently inside, near the restrooms though.)  At the approximate going rate of $2000 for a system, that's a net gain of $200/hour of my time.  Well worth it.  But since nobody knew what was going on, I didn't want to waste my time.  There were about that many people there, but since no one knew anything about how they were going to divvy them out, I didn't want a part of that and waste my time.

Oh, how I underestimated the stupidity of America.  I didn't have the slightest clue that people would pay THIS much for one.  If I'd known, I'd have preordered one.

Friend-of-a-friend sold his PS3 preorder (yes, he sold the PREORDER... he doesn't even have the unit in-hand) for -- are you ready? -- ending bid = $2,800.
