Disappointed thus far...

Xam:
I have yet to have a bad transaction with any vendor as of yet. Not to say the bad vendors are not out there.

Some are slower to respond than others, but all have responded in a timely manner...even if it was not on my "perfect" schedule.

RandyT at GGG has been more than helpful and responsive to my queries. Yes sometimes it takes him more than a few hours to answer (sarcasm here) but he has always answered and provided the tech support I need to fully enjoy his products.

Divemaster and Ponyboy have been very easy to deal with.
I even got my t-mold from Dream Arcades and had a great experience there.

I think some forget that these people provide a service to the home arcade community. With very few exceptions, THIS IS NOT THEIR JOB! It is a sideline service for a niche market. Given the circumstances, I think they do an outstanding job overall. They provide good quality products, reasonable prices, get it to you relatively fast, and provide free tech support!

No quams here, but your experience may be different than mine.

Maybe because the people you are rantting about are respected members of this forum .

Alright...perhaps my frustration was a little pre-mature.   On hindsight,  I should have waited a little longer before expressing my frustrations.   I was a little bit peeved I had not heard from anyone (minus Ultramarc)...not just one or two companies/people.

Now that I have had time to reflect...(and smok...ahem...I mean...er)...I am sorry guys.

...and I still haven't made a decision on my spinner choice.

Wow ... glad I only saw the edited rant ...  :dizzy:

First, welcome to the boards.

Second, grab some reality ... most (in my experience) suppliers in this hobsession have real jobs and real lives and provide goodies to "us" on the side. This ain't exactly a huge market that sets vendors up for life ...or even for the next week. What do you think the margin is on that spinner you want ?

Third ... slow down ... take some time ... read some more before you buy a bunch of stuff that doesn't necesarily work the way you want. You will be happier in the end ... unless your goal is a big box of parts in your workshop ... and I have more than a few of those

I'm with Xam ... "our" vendors do a great job and have been delivering great, innovative products to us at great prices with great service. *gush*

Cheers.

You don't have anything to be sorry about Jon....   just take your time over stuff and don't expect things to happen overnight.

Spinner.... I strongly recommend you take a look at the one at Groovey Game Gear. Randy is an absolutely 100% reliable supplier and very fast to post things. I've never once heard anything bad said about him on here.

The Spinner is a damned good one too...
