halogram arcade game

(1/5) > >>

notaburger:
i was just thinking back on weird arcade games that i haven't seen in a long while
does anyone rememeber this one?
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=10124
it's a halographic game made by the people of dragon's layer and produced by sega
i can only imagine how terrible it really was
but for some reason, all i have is fond memories
i wonder if it's any good
anyone here play one recently and can clue me in to how it works?
i'm assuming that it's just like dragon's layer

NightGod:
I can tell you that the PC translation of that game has the dubious honor of having PC Gamer's lowest score ever, got 5% or so.

shardian:
Quite a popular game in its day. Yes it was cheesy. Yes, it ate quarters like a sumo wrester at a buffet. Would I put it in my gameroom? In a heartbeat!

There were several other games made for this cabinet. I remember playing a not so great fighting game in a holoseum cabinet. Can't remember the name though.

Vigo:
Digital Leisure, a sotware company ate up all the rights for this game, and other laserdisc games and rereleased them in different formats so you can play it on your pc or dvd player...

You can see screenshots and a trailer for the game (and other laserdic games) on this link.

MikeDeuce:
oyy, haven't thought about those things in years. Funny how this forum can make you bring out stuff from way back in the memory file cabinet.

I always did want one of those related mirror toys when they had them at sharper image or brookstone:
