Install Help - Coin Door Mechanics/Switch Connections
Thenasty:
it could be a WRONG size COIN/TOKEN, and it could be the right size. It could just be that you need to adjust (the middle where a magnet is enclosed) where that coin/token is getting stuck such in your pic.
If a coin/token is smaller, it jsut falls right thru the return slot, and if the coin is way to big, it sits on top where the cradle and does not let the coin/token swing and reach the middle (where the magnet is, like in pic).
whynotpizza:
Ok, so turns out the reason my coin (25cents) isn't working is due to the fact I did not stand the coin door vertical ... instead, it was slanted backward as I set it on the floor. DOH!
When I stand the coin door up-right, it works just fine and I tested with a multimeter the switch when the quarter drops down through and it works great.
The other thing I learned is that a traditional coin door does not HOLD the coin in a temporary slot to allow for the customer to COIN RETURN --or-- PLAYER 1 select. Once a person drops the coin into the mech, it is supposed to take it completely and register the CREDIT.
Thanks everyone for the help. :)

In a happ over under, or at least the one I got my hands on, the lamp is a 12v automotive tail lamp. I bought my replacement lamps in the automotive section at Canadian Tire (local hardware chain store) based on the number printed on the bulb. I powered them from the PC. I have a case fan for my cabinet, the two 12v lamps, and the 12v relay in my power bar connected to the 12v power supply in the PC, so they all come on as soon as the PC is switched on. The receptacles in the power bar, which are switched by the relay, turn on the marquee luminaire, my monitor and my speakers.
