Actually, I appreciate ya'lls input. I was thinkin they were a bit too far apart. I think I'm gonna move them to 1.60 centers if not all the way in to 1.50.

Seems most of you guys prefer the 'stacked' arrangement, Is there any real benefit to it other than appearance?


I have been doing some experimenting and think I'd prefer a 'stagered stacked' layout.

That's what I have. I don't have space for a seven button layout. Frankly, on the rare occasions that I need a "D" button for a NEO-GEO game, programming the 6th button to also act as the 4th seems to work just fine. (Click the link below for pictures)

I make all of mine 1.5" apart on center. The joystick is 4" away from the left-most buttons oc. It's pretty much standard.

After re-centering everything, I ended up going with 1.60 on center instead of 1.75. I feel more cmfortable with this spacing. Oh... the circles are 1.082" -- the diameter of the barrel.
