sk jukebox bugs when running win 98se.

(1/1)

burgerface:
dear people,
I'd first like to say what a super program SK has written.
I have been using the software on Pentium one Fujitsu's with 64MB ram and running windows 98SE.
it runs just fine.
I sometimes have issues installing it.
I sometimes need to install, uninstall and do that a few times before it works without any error.I don't know if anyone else has encountered these errors?please help if you can.

another serious bug i encountered when using an hp PC vectra vl6 series 7 pII 233mhz machine running an aopen sound card with a crystal 4237 chipset was as follows:
the machine does not produce the coin sound when a coin is inserted. can there be a fix for this?
The machine also hangs when you press 4 to go into album 4.you need to restart the machine as it does not come out of it.It also does this sometimes in the other machines.was this bug fixed in the newer versions?am using version 281.

i look forward to any help you can offer.

burgerface:
hi, managed to solve the hanging issue when 4 is pressed.
disable the show album art and also reduce the accelerator from 2000 to 1500.
works really well now.

the coin sound still does not work though.

BobA:
I enabled the coin sound to try and it worked fine once the use credits option was also enabled.   W98 800 mhz cpu.   Make sure your insert coin keys are assigned properly.    I assumed mame 5/6 but checked and found spc/z.   I don't use credits but thought I would check it out since you were having problems.

That would make it hard to bring up, for example, album number '56' with those as the defaults  ;)

BobA:
Yup.. Realized that very quickly.  Just habit when coins are involved.  Running great on my juke.

Thanks
