Which Mame32 Version?
« on: September 08, 2006, 11:16:32 pm »
I need help from all you experts. I have Mame32 V.99 on my computer right now. I will be getting my cabinet next week some time. My little daughter loves the Flintstones memory match game which came out in version .102 something, so I will need to upgrade to at least that version of Mame. I am very new to setting up all of this emulation stuff, so I want to make sure everything runs as smooth as possible. What is the highest version of Mame32 I should upgrade to in your opinions? I was thinking V.104. I know that starting in version .105 you have to "map" the trackball and spinner (or is that pretty easy to set up?) Or Should I go with the newer .108? Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

There are 2 classes of mamers. those that upgrade and those that don't.

I say stick with the lowest version you can use that will run the games you want. It'll usually run faster and have less complications.
