My first AMD I build was a k6-2 550.  It is not running anymore, but out of the 10 or so I have built they have always been AMD BABY!!!!

Is this true?  What games could you play with this that you couldn't befroe?

I'm just going off the benchmarks in the threads krick linked there, I don't personally have a Core 2 Duo to test with (and if I did, it probably wouldn't be in my MAME cab ;)

and yet another amd guy... cant beat the price and performance..  only problem i have is that running xp64 i cant get a few of my older programs to run no matter what i do... and they are fine on reg old xp.

3200 is a great chip i have had mine for sometime now and i haven't had to mess with it one little bit, and i must say that its doing a heck of a job with the video card i have in it...

Hope this helps!

I got that deal, it's great.  If you choose one of the MicroATX boards it even has a built-in videochip so all you need is RAM and a power supply (as long as you only wanna run MAME; modern PC games I'd recommend a real video card)
