OKay so I fanlly got PSX running through mala working but The default mame keys interfere with the epsxe emulator so whats the trick around this?

brophog:
Do you use an ipac? Can Mala execute the ipac's programming utility like mamewah can?

With mamewah and an ipac, I can set any app or rom to reprogram the ipac on execution, steathly without anyone noticing. I find it especially useful for older PC apps that are hardcoded or emulators that won't allow me to assign functions to the number keys.

I have no idea what Mala is capable of, but I assume a similiar setup would solve your problem.

The key is not to use the default mame keys, even for mame.  It is a flawed layout for a windows environment.  At the very least everyone should remap left-alt to something else.

You can change Mame and/or ePSXe key mapping if you want

Sure can.    :-)

Yeah I'm sure most people found that out the hard way hitting the windows key (next to it) by mistake while playing a game

Good to know that, loadman. I suggest everyone look into it, especially if they're playing anything besides MAME.
