Give a try to AtomicFE.

I have a plug'n play module called mame_youki1    , it allows to choose your mame games by categorys. (and you have pinball).

You just need to 5 minutes to test.

Go to my website :

-Download :  AtomicFE 0.17-2  (fullversion)
-Install it (touch nothing, configure nothing)
-Donwload the : mame_youki1  plug'n play module  (on the plug'n play page)
-Install the module
-Just copy your roms in the  <atomicfe>\plugnplay\mame_nuss\roms  folder.

-run Atomic.exe

That's all.

Press "Player1 Start" button or Enter Key to enter in a category or run a Game
Press "Player2 Start' button or Backspace  Key to exit a category

Mame version in the module is a 0.102 one. (but can be changed)

I have way too many roms to move to the <atomicfe>\plugnplay\mame_nuss\roms  folder, is there a way to tell atomic where to access them?

Too many roms to move? What are you using? Commodore 64? Atari 800?

Atari 2600

what I mean is that the roms would have to be moved then gameex would have to be reprogrammed,(okay call it lazy)  I did do a test on my second pc, I installed and put in about 40 pinball games but only 15 showed up under atomic.

There are not showed because they are not in the gamelist.   (what romset have you?)

You can add easly your missing pinball game in the gamelist.

Go in the folder :

plugnplay\mame_nuss\MultiConf_mame5

open with the notepad  :  Pinball.cfg.GAMELIST

And add your  missing roms. It will appear in Atomic then.

I miss that one :

To modify the plugnplay module you use , you will have to change the ROM folder for each categories.

Open each .CFG files that are in the : plugnplay\mame_nuss\MultiConf_mame5  folder  with the notepad and change the line :

ROMDIR= .........    by your rom folder.

You can do that by opening the .CFG file using AtomicManager too.  But it will be faster with the notepad in that case i think.
