Need help finding DIY Star Wars Yoke parts.....
rbarr110:
I am somewhat followiung these instructions,
http://arcadecontrols.com/hosted/yoke/
but am having a hell of a time finding gears that will work at my local hoppy shops.
All the gears are too small or have a huge open circle in the middle so I cant properly attach the gears to the shaft. I need gears with approximately a 2:1 ratio, I doesn't to be 40 and 20 tooth like in the guide, as long as it is close to 2:1.
I have looked online, but when I find gears, the information on the size of the gears is lacking, they will often give a tooth count, but not show a picture so I know if I can actually use the gears or not.
Any help is greatly appreciated in finding some gears.
Thanks

Thanks for the link, but the price on those are insane, it would be $60-$100 for the 4 gears I need.
Hobby shop gears, if I can find ones that will work, should be about $20 for all I need.

Shameless bump for help.

Has anyone here actually made one of these using those plans?
And if so is the control response in MAME exactly the same as an original set of controls on an original game?
Thanks.
