SK Jukebox weirdness
(1/1)
Brad:
Hey SK,
I've been running SK Jukebox on my work machine as well as home. I've noticed that on my work machine if I have SK Juke running I can no longer read my optical drive.
2nd thing is something I doubt you could shed light on but we also use some Novell Networking product. We use Console1 for admin and I cannot use it with jukebox running as it also disables reading mapped drives. Apparently there is an obscure bug in Console 1 that doesn't let you read mapped drives with some running VB apps.
Any pointers or clues as to why this might be on both accounts?
Cheers,
Brad

Hi Brad,
The CD drive locking is pretty obscure. I've had one person contact me about it before, and I passed it on to the company that makes the MP3 control, but they didn't seem to have any answers.
I have recently upgraded to a new version of the control, so tell me if it happens after the next update! :)
As for the Novell issue, I don't know. I guess the fact that the optical drives are stopped from working might lead to the same issue, but I really don't know! ??? Again, let me know if the next update fixes it.
SK.

Thanks Salmonking!
When you release the new version I'll let you know. The optical drive thing is weird as it doesn't happen on other machines. Very very strange.
